Thanks for your message. Noted about stopping ebay. Will you be continuing doing stainless parts? I’m currently building a Metisse and will likely need some bits and pieces making.

Many thanks Tony

Morning Tony,

Yes my friend, the stainless parts and tools will still be available from my web site Classic Bike Parts UK www.classicbikepartsuk.uk

Whilst eBay has been an excellent sales tool, their increased selling costs, which from April will be some 13% taken off both the goods and postage along with the listing fees, VAT, and other hidden costs, charged at point of sale, as a private individual, just do not make it viable ( or in my opinion fair to customers ) to continue.

Trusting that no inconvenience is caused in the transition, the same service and next day postage on goods is still aimed for, along with Royal Mail signed for service..

Best regards

John. The parts arrived today, excellent. I’ll polish them up and they will be just the job on my Metisse.

John many thanks….I fully understand your position….ebay have got greedy and are kicking the arse out of their dominant position….I’ll be in touch in future I hope. Cheers Tony

Wipac type brake switch brackets

Peter placed a large order, but the Wipac brake switch was out of stock. J.T responded when the part was back in stock. This is typical J.T, And it is related to the next below

Hello John,
Very sorry I missed your email yesterday and have only just started catching up !
I am looking forward to the Wipac brackets arriving and wish to know the cost of these and postage so I can reimburse you.
Things are getting busy this end as H.M.Voice wants three rooms decorating and I would rather get on with my projects, perhaps I should loose my hearing aids. Think it’s time to visit chuckle corner that always puts a smile on my face.
Very best wishes my friend,
Peter.

J.T Replied

Hi Peter,

I can remember the wife giving me a “jobs to do list” one spring, the bikes were at the bottom of it. Took it down the workshop with a cup of tea, after a cigarette and very brief discussion with a couple of the lads we decided to turn it upside down !

Don’t worry about the brake switch brackets my friend, we can catch up if you should ever need anything else.

As always best regards and remember whoever invented decorating wants screwing, but whoever invented screwing wants decorating 😉

John T.

Many thanks for the parts which arrived today

Hi John,
Thanks for the exceptional delivery, ordered the part Friday, received Monday excellent. Fitted it today Tuesday, spot on.
Made from S/steel, last a life time unlike other parts on the market. Don’t know why all part are not made from the same, the extra cost is negligible although some other company’s treat it as though it’s gold and charge the same for it.
Thanks again John and take care.
First class, highly recommend.

Hi John,
Just a quick line to thank you for the prompt delivery. A phone call on Monday, in my hand on Wednesday.
It makes a pleasant change to find somebody in the trade who has the same passion as the people he serves.
The parts look great and will give a glint of quality in an often overlooked area.
Thanks again
Brian.

Thanks John,

Received today, they are just what I needed to complete my rearset project. I had bought some plate to fabricate my own, sadly this got used to repair my ladders (don’t ask). Having these will make my life a lot easier.

Thanks again,

Mark C.

John,

Your excellent stainless steel parts arrived today. Actually fairly quick delivery considering how far around the globe they travelled. These are really nice parts. I appreciate the quality. I am building one more Triton and I am glad that I was able to come upon your website with so many good bits. Thanks very much.

Hi John,

Thanks so much for getting this order sent off to me.  I was glad to locate your site with so many excellent SS parts. I look forward to adding them to my Triton pile. I am slowing down a bit at age seventy three, but still have bunch of runners and about five very cool projects in the shop.
